Here are some of my favorite recommended documentaries and films. Great for education, awareness, inspiration and the importance of always asking questions, and knowing why things are the way they are? There's over a 1,000 hours of film on this webpage, which can be reduced to less then a 100 hours of information in the form of text, though imagery and sound is still very useful for learning. I do not agree with everything that is portrayed in documentaries, movies or TV Shows. I assimilate the most logical parts of the information presented and then put them together to form an understanding. I then write down my understandings so that I can share this information with others. Every person must learn how to recognize what information is accurate and valuable. So what is your procedure for filtering and assimilating information? You should be familiar with Media Literacy before you watch any video, film, movie or TV program. Even the radio, news papers and books should also be scrutinized, which means to examine carefully for accuracy with the intent of verification, and to look at critically in minute detail. I have have around a 1,000 video links on the website, so there's plenty to explore.

Canada's Dark Secret - Featured Documentary
Canadian Indian Residential School System were a network of "residential" (boarding) schools for Indigenous people (First Nations or "Indians"; Métis and Inuit). The network was funded by the Canadian government's Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, and administered by Christian churches.
Truth and Reconciliation Commission is a commission tasked with discovering and revealing past wrongdoing by a government (or, depending on the circumstances, non-state actors also), in the hope of resolving conflict left over from the past.

Documentaries will not answer all of your questions, but they will give you a better understanding of a subject. It's still up to you to fill in the spaces. These documentaries will bring up some interesting questions. But just watching these videos will not answer all those questions, especially when you are not sure which questions to ask. But I will do my best to help you to reveal these important questions, but I will still need you to answer these questions yourself, even knowing that the answers will only apply to the information and knowledge that we have accumulated up to this point. So you will still have to keep learning, keep asking questions, and keep updating what you know, as the millions of people have done before you.
