Develop is to progress and learn gradually in a series of steps or stages. To grow emotionally or to mature through experiences. To undergo changes or improvements. Create by training and teaching. Make something new. Become more technologically advanced. 

Development is the act of improving by expanding, enlarging or refining. A process in which something passes by degrees to a different stage, especially a more advanced or mature stage.

Discover is to become aware of something that was previously unknown. To find something new by searching and learning.

Detect is to discover, or measure, or determine, or learn about the existence or presence of something, or some fact. ("She detected high levels of lead in her drinking water").

Digital is signals or data expressed as series of the digits 0 and 1 (digital). Typically represented by values of a physical quantity such as voltage or magnetic polarization. Of a clock or watch, showing the time by means of displayed digits rather than hands or a pointer. Displaying numbers rather than scale positions. A circuit or device that represents magnitudes in digits.

Data is an item of factual information derived from measurement or research. A collection of facts from which conclusions may be drawn. Something that can be read and understood, transmitted and received.

Design is to make something for a specific purpose or effect using using skills and knowledge. To figure out the best methods to achieve a goal, or to solve a problem, or to create something unique by planning ahead using sketch's or artistic drawings.

Dimension is the size of something in several directions (Length, Width, Height). Dimension in physics is the physical units of a quantity, expressed in terms of fundamental quantities like time, mass and length. Dimension also means one of three Cartesian coordinates that determines a position in space.

Density is the spatial property of being crowded together or tightly packed. The amount per unit size

Distance is a measurement of length of time and the amount of space between two objects or two points. The size of the gap between two places. The interval between two times. Length.

Direction is a line of travel where you are headed. Left, right, forward, backward, up or down. Direction also means to give advice or instructions to someone to help them accomplish a goal.

Degree is a position on a scale of intensity or the amount or quality of something. A measurement in increments provide by a tool. 

Duration is the period of time during which something continues..

Device is an instrument or tool invented for a particular purpose. Something in an artistic work designed to achieve a particular effect. Any interesting pattern or design that creates a visible symbol for something abstract.

Discipline is to develop good behavior by instruction and practice, sometimes in order to teach and learn self-control. A system of rules of conduct or a method of practice that helps a person reach their goals. Training that aims to improve strength or self-control. Committing time to a specific routine or plan that will show improvements over time.

Definition is a concise explanation of the meaning of a word or phrase or symbol.

Deduction is reasoning from the general to the particular (or from cause to effect). Conclude by reasoning; in logic. The act of subtracting (removing a part from the whole). Inferred.

Discourse is to carry on a conversation. Talk about a topic for a length of time. Verbal expression in speech or writing.

Discussion is to talk to and listen to each others ideas and thoughts about some topic or subject. Talking and communicating for a length of time in order to understand each other more accurately.

Debate is to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of an issue. Examine the reasoning behind a plan or an action.

Due Diligence is a type of investigation that contributes significantly to informed decision making by enhancing the amount and quality of information available to decision makers and by ensuring that this information is systematically used to deliberate in a
reflexive manner on the decision at hand and all its costs, benefits, and risks.

Disadvantage is having something that impedes, hinders or interferes with the abilities or progress of someone to a point that it may be harmful.

Discrimination the unjust and unfair treatment of people or things that are based on personal biases or illogical reasoning. The act of ignorantly punishing people because of their race, age, sex or other narrow minded reasons. Prejudice or an opinion in advance before any facts are known that would prevent objective consideration of an issue or situation.

Discern is to detect with the senses. To perceive or recognize something.

Determine is to explain something after a calculation, investigation, experiment, survey, or study. Find out, learn, or determine with certainty, usually by making an inquiry or other effort.

Different is something that is unlike or not similar to something else. Not the same, but could be closely similar or comparable in way or degree.

Destruction is causing so much damage to it that it cannot be repaired or no longer exists. An event (or the result of an event) that completely destroys something. Failure.

Destroy is to cause the destruction or undoing of. Damage irreparably.

Damage is to cause injury or harm that reduces the value or usefulness of someone or something. To break something, sometimes beyond repair and not able to perform its normal function. Render something ineffective. Ruin something completely. Cause something to separate into pieces or fragments. Stop something from operating or functioning. Damage can also mean any harm or injury resulting from a violation of a legal right. Act in disregard of laws, rules, contracts, or promises.

Deterioration is a symptom that reduces the quality or strength of something or someone. Process of changing to an inferior state. Degrade or degradation. Disrespectful.

Devastation is the state of being decayed or destroyed. An event that results in total destruction. excessive damage and destruction. causing so much damage to it that it cannot be repaired or no longer exists.

Decay is the process of gradually becoming lower in quality. Breaking down and becoming physically weaker or inferior.

Dilapidated is something in a condition of decay or partial ruin because of neglect or misuse. Fall into decay or ruin.

Deficient is a quantity not able to fulfill a need or requirement.

Dysfunctional is being impaired and unable to function properly. Failing to serve a useful purpose. Diminished in strength, quality, or utility. To be imperfect or mentally or physically unfit. To be worse or less effective. 

Defective is subnormal in structure or function or intelligence or behavior. Not working properly. An imperfection in a bodily system. Error

Deceive is to be false and dishonest. To cause someone to believe an untruth. To lie and mislead someone, sometimes to commit fraud or to abuse them. Someone who leads you to believe something that is not true.

Derogatory is to expressive a low opinion of someone or something in a disrespectable and insensitive way.


Dependable is when people can count on you and also trust you because you always do the things you say you will do. Being consistent in performance or behavior. Someone or something that is worthy of reliance because of past experiences that were positive. Having knowledge of favorable odds that something is true.

Dignity is having and showing self-respect and self-worth.

Dedication or Dedicated is the act of binding yourself intellectually or emotionally to a course of action. Being faithful and devoted to a cause, ideal or purpose. Determined is devoting your strength, time and attention to accomplish a goal.

Durable is something capable of lasting and existing for a long time while withstanding wear and tear and decay.

Defend is to protect against harm or injury and to stop an attack or provide resistance and a defense against attack. 

Dexterity is the skillful use of the hands. Being coordinated in hand movements and the ability to use your hands effectively.

Dance is a series of rhythmic steps and body movements that are in time to music. A pattern of body movements that can go up and down or sideways or spin as a response to music. An artistic form of nonverbal communication using body motions that are balanced and coordinated.

Dizzy is when you feel a spinning sensation in the mind that makes standing difficult. Feeling unbalanced and unstable.

Drink is to take in liquids into the mouth and then swallowing.

Draw is using a pencil, pen or other writing tool to make marks or lines on a surface in order to create a description or representation. Drawing is an illustration that is drawn by hand. Draw can also mean to move, take or pull something out of.

Diagram is a drawing intended to explain how something works; a drawing showing the relation between the parts. A schematic or technical drawing of that shows interactions among variables or how something is constructed.

Diaphragm is a muscular partition separating the abdominal and thoracic cavities that functions in respiration or breathing using the lungs.

Decent is being sufficient for the purpose or standard and also being correct and respectable in speech, moral behavior or dress. 

Dead is not being alive, no breathing and no heartbeat.

Delicate is something fragile that can easily broken or damaged or destroyed if not handled with care. Something very fine in texture or structure or an intricate workmanship or quality. Easily hurt and susceptible to injury. Delicate can also mean having great skill especially in meticulous technique, or an instrument or device capable of registering minute differences or changes precisely.

Delicious is when a food has an enjoyable flavor or taste that you like. Something pleasing.

Director is a person who leads, directs and supervises a large production. Someone in charge of an activity, a department, or an organization who manages or oversees the affairs of a business or operation, sometimes responsible for controlling resources and expenditures.

Divide is to separate into equal parts or portions. Division is the process of dividing, an arithmetic operation that is the inverse of multiplication; the quotient of two numbers is computed. (10 divided by 2 equals 5) (5 x 2 = 10) (If you have 10 things, and you want five friends to have equal amounts, then each friend would have 2 each.).

Deed is something that people do or cause to happen. A good deed. A deed can also mean a legal document signed and sealed and delivered to effect a transfer of property and to show the legal right to possess it.

Dig is to remove soil or dirt from the ground to make a hole or a trench using a shovel, a tool or a machine. Excavate.

Dirt is the part of the earth's surface consisting of humus, soil and disintegrated rock. Dirty means something that is unclean or contaminated.

Dog is a member of the genus Canis, which has many breeds and probably descended from the common wolf. Dogs were domesticated by man around 40,000 years ago. Family Canidae is dogs; wolves; jackals; foxes.

Domesticated is an animal whose behavior has adapted to living in homes with humans, usually these animals are willing to be trained or directed.

Dress is wear clothes or to put on clothes like underwear, shirt and pants. Dress is also a one-piece garment or skirt. Dress can also mean to apply a bandage or medication to.

Decorate is to add to something in order to make something more attractive by adding an ornament or some color, etc.

Drive is to operate or control a vehicle to travel or to be transported in. Drive can also mean to press with force, push or propel something forward.

Driver is the operator of a motor vehicle. Driver can also mean a computer program that determines how a computer will communicate with a peripheral device. Driver can also mean a type of golf club.

Dew is water that has condensed on a cool surface overnight from water vapor in the air.
